The purpose of the Admin Assistant position is to be responsible for church event and outside bookings, provide reception and administrative support to the ministry staff,  and volunteer coordination.   

Essential Job Functions

  1. Actively assist, participate and contribute administratively with staff needs and ministry requirements (ie: monthly prayer calendar, connection/prayer cards, church brochures, event posters/tickets, attendance and registration forms, etc.).
  2. Coordinate church events and outside bookings including: updating church calendar, coordinating hosting of events, and creating and finalizing contracts for outside bookings.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  4. Represent Grace Baptist Church well to all visitors, congregation members and volunteers, rental clients, and building contractors.
  5. Facility and event assistance, when required.
  6. Responds to/ forwards all incoming church correspondence.
  7. Point person for general church, event, rental, building and staff information.
  8. Maintain general church and office supplies, sundries and organization.

Working Conditions

  • Hours of work
    • This is a part-time position. Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4pm. Approximately 30 hours a week. Hours are flexible according to church and personal needs.

    • Free parking on-site.

Staffing Responsibilities

  • Reports to Pastor of Ministry Development
  • Will participate in team meetings and activities
  • Performance evaluation and review will take place annually during the month of July
